An Easy Crockpot Pasta with Supreme Pizza Flavor

Crockpot Supreme Pizza Pasta brings the familiar flavors of a loaded supreme pizza into a warm, cheesy pasta dinner. Turkey Italian sausage, turkey bacon, turkey pepperoni, mushrooms, black olives, and bell pepper give the sauce plenty of savory pizza flavor, while mozzarella and Parmesan create the melted-cheese finish.

Most of the mixture cooks together in the slow cooker, making this a practical option when you want to prepare dinner ahead of time. The pasta is cooked separately and added near the end, which is the key to getting the best texture.

Why Should the Pasta Be Cooked Separately?

Pasta continues to absorb liquid as it sits. If it cooks in the crockpot for several hours, it can soak up too much sauce and become soft or mushy. Cooking it separately gives you more control and keeps the marinara from becoming overly thick.

Drain the pasta well before stirring it into the crockpot. Once it is combined with the hot sauce, it only needs enough time to warm through and become coated.

What Gives This Pasta Its Supreme Pizza Flavor?

This dish uses a combination of classic supreme-pizza toppings rather than relying on pepperoni alone. The sausage, bacon, and pepperoni create a savory base, while mushrooms, onion, bell pepper, and black olives add the familiar vegetable flavors.

Italian seasoning, garlic, marinara, mozzarella, and Parmesan tie everything together. Red pepper flakes are optional, so the amount of heat can be adjusted at the table instead of added to the entire crockpot.

Tips for the Best Crockpot Supreme Pizza Pasta

A few simple details help protect the texture and balance the flavors:

– Brown and drain the sausage before it goes into the slow cooker.

– Drain the canned mushrooms and olives so they do not add unnecessary liquid.

– Add the cooked pasta near the end rather than letting it cook for hours.

– Stir in the olives at the end if you prefer their flavor to remain more noticeable.

– Adjust the broth based on the pasta you choose and how thick you want the finished sauce.

– Keep the crockpot covered after adding the cheeses so they can melt into an even topping.

Can I Leave Out the Bell Pepper?

Yes. The green bell pepper is optional. It adds a recognizable supreme-pizza flavor, but the pasta will still have plenty of character from the seasoned sauce, meats, mushrooms, olives, and cheese if you leave it out.

How Can I Adjust the Spice Level?

For a mild version, skip the red pepper flakes. For more heat, add a pinch to the crockpot or sprinkle some over individual servings. Adding it at the table is especially useful when different people prefer different spice levels.

Meal Prep and Leftover Tips

This recipe works well for meal prep because the sauce and pizza toppings hold up well as leftovers. If possible, store extra pasta separately from the sauce. That helps prevent the noodles from continuing to absorb liquid while they sit.

When the pasta and sauce have already been combined, reheat gently and stir as needed so everything warms evenly. Extra Parmesan, turkey pepperoni, or red pepper flakes can refresh the pizza-style finish before serving.

For freezer preparation, the sauce and topping mixture can be prepared without the pasta. Cook fresh pasta separately when you are ready to serve, then finish the dish with the cheeses according to the recipe card.

What to Serve with Pizza Pasta

Because this crockpot pasta already includes meat, vegetables, sauce, pasta, and cheese, it can stand on its own as a complete comfort-food dinner. If you want something alongside it, keep the pairing simple so the bold pizza flavors remain the focus.

A crisp green salad or a plainly seasoned vegetable makes an easy contrast to the rich, cheesy pasta. Extra Parmesan and red pepper flakes can be placed on the table for individual servings.

A Practical Slow-Cooker Pizza Pasta

Crockpot Supreme Pizza Pasta is a straightforward way to enjoy pizza-inspired flavors in pasta form. Preparing the toppings and sauce in the slow cooker keeps the hands-on work manageable, while adding the pasta and cheese at the end preserves the texture that makes the finished dish so satisfying.

Ingredients

Protein + pizza toppings

  • 1 lb turkey Italian sausage browned
  • 6 –8 slices turkey bacon cooked and chopped
  • 4 –6 oz turkey pepperoni chopped
  • 1 can mushrooms drained
  • 1 small can sliced black olives drained

Sauce + seasoning

  • 24 oz no-sugar-added marinara
  • 1 cup chicken broth adjust depending on pasta
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 green bell pepper diced (optional but very supreme-pizza style)
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Black pepper
  • Optional: red pepper flakes

Finish

  • 8 oz on-plan pasta cooked separately
  • 1 –1 1/2 cups reduced-fat mozzarella
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan

Instructions

  • Brown the turkey Italian sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.
  • Add the browned sausage to the crockpot along with the cooked turkey bacon, turkey pepperoni, mushrooms, onion, green bell pepper, garlic, marinara sauce, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes, if using.
  • Stir everything together, cover, and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until the vegetables are tender and the flavors are well combined.
  • About 20–30 minutes before serving, cook the pasta separately according to the package directions. Drain well.
  • Stir the cooked pasta and black olives into the crockpot.
  • Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan over the top. Cover and cook for another 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  • Serve warm. If desired, top each serving with extra Parmesan, turkey pepperoni, or a pinch of red pepper flakes.

Notes

* **Don’t put the pasta in the crockpot for hours** — it will soak up the sauce and get mushy. Stir cooked pasta in at the end.
* Add the olives near the end if you like a stronger olive flavor; long cooking mellows them.
* A sprinkle of Parmesan and extra turkey pepperoni on top before serving will give it that “pizza casserole” look.
This would actually make a great freezer/meal prep recipe too. The flavors (sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, olives) should hold up really well for leftovers. It also fits your audience well: familiar comfort food, higher protein, and easy family dinner.
