Boosted Chocolate Cherry Shake
I know this shake isn’t pretty but it is so good. It is good for you, builds your immunity, revs your metabolism and has a packed cup of spinach in it. As the weather warms up, this will be made weekly for sure. I love how delicious food is when we are sugar free. Following the trim healthy mama eating plan doesn’t mean eating tasteless food, we get to eat food that no only is good for us, it tastes great too.
If you are a light breakfast eater or need a snack, this should be enough. I don’t like to eat heavy in the morning, so this was perfect for me. This will also be a perfect post-workout snack as well. If you like chocolate and cherries, you will love this.
I have a few optional ingredients included in the recipe. They are not necessary but I like to add them. For sweetener, I used 1 doonk of stevia and 1/2 tablespoon of gentle sweet. It was perfect for me. Use what you have at home and adjust to your sweetness level.
These are the cherries I use. I get them at my local costco.
