In a large skillet, over medium heat, add the butter and oil
Add the onion. Cook for a minute.
Add the Candian Bacon. Cook for a few minutes.
Add garlic. Cook for another minute.
Add the seasonings and cook another minute.
Add the crushed tomatoes and sweetener. Allow to simmer for at least 5 minutes. You most likely will need to turn the burner to low.
Add the ricotta and cream cheese. Stir until melted.
Taste the sauce. If you think it is too thick, add a little liquid.
Add pasta to the skillet or pour sauce over pasta. Top with toppings, if desired.
