TikTok’s Baked Feta Pasta Low Carb
This is my take on the viral tiktok baked feta, it’s low carb and trim healthy mama s.
I have been wanting to make the viral tiktok baked feta pasta recipe. It sounded really good and looked easy enough. There were no leftovers, so my family loved it!! There is a reason it is a viral recipe. It is such a simple recipe and everything can be bought at your local store. With your few simple ingredients you end up with a creamy, cheesy, delicious sauce. It’s the perfect weeknight meal. Very little hands on work.
This creamy pasta dish is one your family will ask you to make again and again.
It was a huge hit with my family. My goal is to make food that my family, with their various picky levels, love. If my family loves something, it’s more likely that your family will love it. I was a little worried about one of my kids not liking this dish, but they ate every bite I made. I like spaghetti squash but most of my family doesn’t. For a dish like this, I don’t want to use expensive low carb pasta alternatives on my boys who eat junk. I used dreamfields in my dish, and my son who says he can tell when I use it, ate seconds.
Not only is this baked feta pasta dish easy and delicious, you can make this even easier!
I prepped this during my most recent meal prep. Prepping like this makes my life so much easier!! Even if you don’t have room for the totes, you can make space in your fridge for a few meals. And the dry goods can be stored in a specific part of your kitchen, A certain shelf in a cabinet, specific area in your pantry, wherever is the easiest for you. Make this work in your unique house and family. This is honestly keeping me on plan and not eating out when life is overwhelming. Now, onto the recipe.
Low Carb Baked Feta Pasta
Ingredients
- 2 Pints Cherry Tomatoes
- 1/2 C Olive Oil
- 1/2 t Salt
- 1/4 t Black Pepper
- 1 T Minced Garlic
- 8 oz Chunk Feta Pasta
- 6 oz Pasta of choice
Instructions
- In a 2-3 quart casserole dish add tomatoes and all of the seasonings and olive oil.
- Toss to coat.
- Place block of cheese in the middle. Bake in a 350 degree preheated oven for 40 minutes. After the 40 minutes, turn up to 425 and cook for 15 more minutes. Start boiling your water (if using pasta) around the 10 minutes left of the first cooking time.
- Start mashing the tomatoes and when they are just about mashed, start mashing the feta cheese. I used a potato masher.
- When mashed and combined, add your hot pasta and stir. If desired top with a little parsley and dried oregano.
- Serve hot. I served with Italian sautéed squash.
what pasta did you use to be THM compliant? Dreamfields?
