Grilled Bacon Wrapped Chicken

Here is another grill recipe for those hot days of summer, grilled bacon wrapped chicken.

This low carb, trim healthy mama s, recipe is easy peasy. All you need are chicken breasts sliced into strips or tenderloins and bacon. A little seasoning if you want it and a grill. I have been buying meat at our local grocery store when it is buy one get one free. I seem to have an abundance of chicken breasts that I need to use up. This was such an easy way to cook them up. And another win, my hubby grilled them!!

I am all about utilizing different appliances in different seasons.

With this dinner we grilled the bacon wrapped chicken and zucchini. There was no reason to turn the oven on during the hottest part of the day. If you haven’t grilled zucchini, you are missing out. Here is how we usually do it, grilled zucchini. These would also be amazing when you are camping. We camp a few times a year and having simple meals to grill makes my life easier. This recipe is so simple, I don’t know why I didn’t think of doing this sooner.

This recipe is so simple you really don’t need a recipe.

You can spice the original up with some Tony Chachere seasoning or jalapeno seasoning. I used some garlic herb seasoning on top. This is such a simple recipe for any busy season. You don’t have to reserve this just for summer and the grill. You can bake these in the oven and bake some veggies at the same time. Maybe even on one pan and let the bacon grease flavor the veggies that are on the pan too. This is now on my to do list for cooler weather. Yum!!

Grilled Bacon Wrapped Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 Lb Chicken Breasts or Tenderloins
  • 16 oz Bacon
  • 1 t Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 t Salt
  • 1/2 t Pepper
  • 1/2 t Onion Powder
  • 1/2 t Smoked Paprika
  • Seasoning to top the chicken with

Instructions

  • Slice the chicken into strips. Season with the seasoning. (Ignore my old sheet pan)
  • Wrap in bacon. Grill, turning as needed. Some of strips were thinner, those cooked faster and were placed on the top rack while the rest of the chicken cooked.
  • When they are finished, remove from the grill and serve with desired sides. We grilled zucchini and had a salad with ours.
