Low Carb Bacon Cheeseburger Bowls
This recipe is kind of weird but my family loved it. This is very similar to something I used to make, pre trim healthy mama. I changed it up a bit and again, the family still loved it. If your family loves burgers, give this recipe a try. I will admit that this recipe isn’t a photogenic recipe. It honestly looks like slop. But the taste is great. I have made this a few times to fit into the trim healthy mama way of eating and the whole family loves it.
I served ours on top of plain oopsie rolls. When I was sending the pictures to download, I accidentally deleted it. So, trust me, in all of the pictures, there is an oopsie roll on the bottom of each picture. The teens who are not on plan ate their bowls with whole wheat bread on the bottom of their bowls. If you look closely under the lettuce, you can see my oopsie roll.
I bit of an oops admission, I forgot my bacon!! Everyone else got some and I added mine after the pics, but you won’t see it in my pictures. I also bought Aldi’s precooked bacon to use for my bacon for this recipe. I need easy and fast most days of my life.
If you don’t want to use the crcokpot, you have a few options. You can cook this and eat this the day you make it. Or you can pre cook it and just reheat it on the stove or in the oven. Give it a try, you might be surprised.
