Low Carb Fried Cabbage
Do you need a cheap and easy side dish? This is something I make as a side a lot. If you like cabbage, you will love this recipe. This is a trim healthy mama s recipe but I am working on one that be eaten in a fp or e setting. You can use turkey bacon in place of regular bacon but you will need some fat. The cabbage is cooked in the bacon grease for flavor and the fat is releases. You can scale this as big or small, depending on your family size. I used a largeish cabbage that filled my skillet.
How I make this budget friendly and use bacon: I buy 3 pounds of bacon when it is on sale for less than $10. I bring it home and package the pieces in family size breakfasts but always make sure to have some baggies with 3-5 pieces so I can add small amounts of bacon to dishes like this. I pull out that small baggie and thaw just that small amount. This is a perfect low carb side dish. My family really likes it when I make this. I hope your family likes it as much as mine does.
