Air Fryer Steaks with Herb Butter

Air fried steak! Herb Butter! Yum!

This isn’t a recipe per se, I mean it’s steak! I love steak. I’m sure there are people out there that doesn’t love steak, but I don’t have any in my family. We love it but the problem is, it isn’t cheap. We generally have steak once a month. I look forward to that dinner every month. We recently started using our air fryer to cook our steaks and they have turned out amazing every time. We have grilled steaks and cooked steaks in a cast iron skillet, both are great ways to cook your steaks. However, the air fryer steaks are my favorite way.

Herb Butter, the secret

I am usually someone who doesn’t eat anything with my steak. A properly cooked steak shouldn’t need a sauce or anything. Well, I was wrong. This herb butter is so good on top of a perfectly cooked steak. You don’t have to only put this on steak. You can put this on pork, shrimp, chicken, eggs, etc. This herb butter is that good. We use this on so many things now.

If you don’t have an air fryer

If you don’t have an air fryer, cook your steaks how you normally do and then top with the herb butter. For our next camping trip I plan on making this ahead of time and taking it with me. I will use it on anything we grill, in my hobopack, and probably other ways as well. If you like salmon or tilapia, this will be perfect with it. I am really excited about how delicious and how many ways it can be used. If another herb sounds like it would be delicious, add it. Want some heat, add your favorite sauce, peppers, or spice. This is such a great flavor enhancer to so many meals. You might end up making this weekly!!

Air Fryer Steak with Herb Butter

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 2-3 Steaks, I prefer Rib Eye

Steak seasonings- We use steak seasoning but salt and pepper are the basic seasonings we top our steaks with

  • 1 Stick of Salted Butter, softened
  • 2 t Minced garlic
  • 1/2 t Salt
  • 1/4 t Black Pepper
  • 2 t Dried Parsley
  • 1 t Dried Rosemary, finely diced Optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 450 degrees. Season your steak how you like to season them. We have been using steak seasoning lately.
  • Put your seasoned steaks into your hot air fryer. Depending on the thickness of your steak and how well you like you steak, cook for 6-10 minutes. Remove from the air fryer and flip.
  • Place back in your air fryer and cook for an additional 6-10 minutes. We like our steak medium-rare. If you like your steaks well done, maybe 12-14 minutes per side.
  • Allow your steak to rest and then top with the herb butter.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients to a small bowl and mix together. Store in the fridge until ready to use.
  • Serve on hot to warm meat of choice.
