Sugar-free Iced Caramel Macchiato made with Dalgona/Whipped Coffee

This iced sugar-free caramel macchiato is delicious and takes the place of the bad for you coffees.

Macchiato basically means stained milk. If you have ever had a macchiato, then you know they come clearly marked with the milk and coffee separate.  I used unsweetened almond milk in my coffee, but you can use whatever milk you want. Typically, a caramel macchiato is sweetened with a vanilla syrup. I just used a dash of vanilla and a little liquid stevia in the final product.

To make the dalgona or whipped coffee, it’s easy.

When I made this a couple years ago, I used a whisk. Here is my original recipe. I whisked by hand in a smallish bowl. That does take a little effort, but you don’t need anything special. You can do the same with this recipes as well. Use the ingredients and whisk. BUT, if you have a frother, you have the easy way out!

I frothed straight in this measuring cup.

You don’t need anything special to froth in, just add your basic ingredients to a narrow glass container and froth. That’s it. I would recommend that you have your glass ready. If desired, swirl caramel around the edges and add ice. Pour in your milk and add the vanilla and stevia, if desired. And then froth. That’s it! And it didn’t cost that much at all. Here is my first caramel recipe that is special ingredient free.
