Super Tasty Sloppy Joes- Low Carb & Trim Healthy Mama S

These sloppy Joes are so good, simple, and low carb/trim healthy mama s.

I don’t know why it took me so long to get a sloppy Joe recipe on my blog. Well, it’s finally up. Sloppy Joes are something that most of us grew up eating. It was something that parents could throw together in minutes and feed a family fast and on a budget. This one isn’t quite as fast since this isn’t coming from a can but it’s still great for a busy day.

I used a keto hamburger bun from Walmart.

I haven’t tried the ones from Aldi. This fiber content is too high, I believe more than what you need in one day per serving.  If you don’t want to spend that much money on buns, you just toast your bread that you typically use. That is what I most often use. And I typically use one piece of bread, but that’s just me.

I used seasoning blend to make this easier for a busy night, but you can use fresh onion and bell pepper that you dice.

This is also a great make and freeze recipe. I love to prep meals and freeze them. Ideally you would double it and freeze half. I do call for pre-made ketchup. You can make it yourself or buy some from the store. I rarely use ketchup, so I don’t mind using the store-bought when I do use ketchup. Here’s the recipe that is sure to bring back memories.

Sloppy Joes- Low Carb and THM S

Ingredients

  • 2 Lb Ground Beef
  • 2 C Seasoning Blend
  • 2 T Minced Garlic
  • 2 T Tomato Paste
  • 1 C Sugar Free Ketchup
  • 1/2-2/3 C Water
  • 2 T Brown Swerve, you can add a little more if it isn't as sweet as you want
  • 2 T Worstershire Sauce
  • 2 T Yellow Mustard
  • 2 t Smoked Paprika
  • 1 1/2 t Salt
  • 3/4 t Pepper

Instructions

  • In a skillet (I used my Ninja Foodi because I used the slow cook setting after I got everything made) place your ground beef, seasoning blend, and garlic.
  • Add the remaining ingredients. Start with the smaller amount of water. Only add more if it is too thick. Let simmer to allow the flavors to meld. I slow cooked for a few hours.
  • Toast the buns/bread if desired.
  • Serve on toasted buns with desired sides.
