Easy and Delicious Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings Trim Healthy Mama S

These Lemon Pepper Wings are Easy, Delicious, and Trim Healthy Mama S

If you like lemon pepper, give these lemon pepper chicken wings a try. Of course, they are super easy to make! I used my air fryer since we are still at hell’s front porch right now. It’s another summer with a records being broken with our heat, so no oven use here. I actually made parmesan chicken wings and these lemon pepper wings at the same time. Well, my air fryer could only fit one set at a time. So I made the lemon pepper and then prepped the parmesan chicken wings while they cooked. It worked perfect.

Bake, air fry, or even cook in a skillet.

Just make these. I made these very lemony, only use as much as you. I finished it with a whole lemon squeezed on top. We liked it, but I would suggest tasting before you add the lemon. I would hate if it ended up being too much for you and your family.  If your family likes lemon, follow the recipe as written. It’s so good!!! Let’s talk dip.

Blended Cottage Cheese!

I made a buffalo ranch dip (although the wings really didn’t need the dip). I love blended cottage cheese. I have so many recipes here and more coming. I took my ranch cottage cheese- no recipe. For a fuel pull ranch dip, take desired amount of blended cottage and add desired amount of dry ranch seasoning, to taste. That’s it. To make buffalo ranch, take some of the ranch and add buffalo sauce, again, to taste. SO simple!!

Obviously, the dip isn’t necessary.

You can make this with regular ranch with buffalo sauce, if desired. Or, just no dip. These wings were very flavorful as is. We had our first NFL game of the season and thought chicken wings would be a perfect meal for us to have. These were a hit with everyone, even those who didn’t watch the game. Ha

There’s a secret ingredient added.

This ingredient is supposed to make the skin of the wing crispy. I used 1 tablespoon of baking POWDER in the coating ingredients. Most of the skin on the wings were crispy. I can’t promise how yours will turn out, but give it a try. Also, I used 2 1/2 lb of “whole” chicken wings and trimmed them at home. I didn’t have room to even consider leaving them whole in my air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 Lb Chicken Wings I bought them whole and trimmed them at home
  • 1 T Baking Powder If you are using a less amount of chicken wings, use less of everything listed
  • 1 T Lemon Pepper
  • 1 t Salt
  • 1/2 t Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 t Black Pepper
  • 1/2 t Mustard Powder
  • 1/4 t Onion Powder
  • 1 T Olive Oil
  • 2 T Melted Butter
  • 1 T Lemon Pepper
  • 1 Lemon to squeeze on top

Instructions

  • If desired, trim your chicken wings. I cut off the tips and separate the drum from the flat.
  • Add all of the seasonings down to and including the olive oil to the wings.
  • Toss to coat.
  • Air fry (or cook however works for you) at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Flip over halfway. Since my air fryer was full, I took half out of the air fryer after the 20 minutes and cooked for another 2-3 minutes. When those were done, I added the other half and did the same thing. I wanted to crisp up the skin.
  • Mix the melted butter with the lemon pepper and coat the cooked wings.
  • Optional, squeeze a lemon on top of the wings. toss to coat again. Definitely taste before adding the lemon juice. That might be the perfect amount for you.
  • Serve as desired.
