April Trim Healthy Mama Monthly Menu

This month is a little bit different. I tried to find recipes that are a little bit on the budget friendly side. Every week I include a cabbage recipe because it’s cheap. My local stores all have plenty of produce so you should have access to plenty of those. If you are having trouble finding meat, reduce the amount you use in recipes if you have too Serve a large salad on the side with every meal so you family will have plenty of good, nourishing foods. Serve some form of potato at most of your meals for a yummy crossover. Before trim healthy mama, we ate potatoes multiple times a week. When someone asked my kids what their favorite foods I made, potato was usually an ingredient.

Right now is such a crazy time in out history, but we will get through it. I almost didn’t post a menu because of this pandemic but then I felt that having some normalcy in our lives right now is good. Throwing out ALL of the THM principles is just as crazy as not being able to find toilet paper. I went ahead and made one up knowing that it might not be helpful at all, but if this helps one person, it is worth it. If you need any help on eating on a budget, send me a message. I will probably make a post soon about that. At one point, after my hubby got hurt at work and was on workman’s comp, I was buying food at Dollar Tree. It was a hard time, but we got through it.
