Trim Healthy Mama Freezer to Crockpot Recipe Series

Here is a Trim Healthy Mama Freezer to Crockpot Recipe Series

This freezer to crockpot series is full of easy trim healthy mama recipes. To follow along “live” we start June 30th. Every Friday we will make 2 different freezer recipes. I am making 4 of each recipe. Before following the trim healthy mama eating plan I made everything possible for my freezer. It was such a sanity saving way of meal prepping. Now we can do freezer to crockpot dump recipes trim healthy mama friendly.

You can follow along with us at my free FB page https://www.facebook.com/thejenniferoverstreet/

There are a few things I am using to make this easier BUT they are not necessary. If you buy something and don’t use it, it isn’t helpful.  You can just use a bowl or something like that, if you need something to help hold up the baggies. I have also previously used reusable gallon freezer bags but honestly, they were a hassle. And a couple ended up with small tears in them. I want this to be easy for you!

If you have a product like a Ninja Foodi, it can make your life easier. But a simple garage sale crockpot will still cook your food just fine. One thing I do love about my Foodi is that I can saute and slow cook or pressure cook in the same “pot”.

Also, if you are wanting things to be more pure or even more trim healthy mama drive-thru-sue, adjust these recipes to your family’s tastes. Every family is unique and tastes/likes are different. If you don’t have a crockpot or don’t always want to use a crockpot, adjust these to whatever cooking method you desire. You can use a skillet, bake in the oven, or use a pressure cooker. Again, adjust these trim healthy mama recipes as you  need to.

Remember to make this easy for you! If something is going to cause you stress, don’t do it. We need easy in our lives! One tip I have is to buy things when they are on sale. I found 2 sirloin steaks marked down. I bought them and went ahead and cubed them. I labeled them and then placed them in the freezer. I will add them, unthawed to the freezer meals when I prep them.

Here is a simple pdf that you might find helpful. It will help you keep track of the freezer meals you make.

Can these be converted to an instant pot? I have a conversion chart I can use for time. My crockpot always overcooks everything.

Yes, I think they would work great in a pressure cooker. If they don’t have enough liquid, make sure you use the amount your specific model requires.

Hi Jennifer, What are the approximate number of servings in each bagged freezer meal. There’s just 2 here and I don’t want endless leftovers. Your recipes sound awesome! Thanks for your time and effort in helping us all!

Hi Kim. If you are using beef stew meat like I did, it should cook faster than the sliced sirloin. I would suggest 6-7 hours on low or 3-4 on high. I would thicken with xanthan gum, if desired, before adding the broccoli. And if thickening, do it slowly. You can go from not thick, to too much really quick.
