May Trim Healthy Mama Dinner Menu
Trim Healthy Mama May Menu Plan: Easy, Family-Friendly, Special-Ingredient-Free
Here’s my new Trim Healthy Mama menu for May!
Every recipe on this menu is easy, family friendly, and special‑ingredient free. I create THM menus with busy moms and families in mind. When I hear a mom say she has to make two (or even three) different dinners every night, my heart breaks. I feed a few picky people myself, and every recipe is tested on them first. Life is too short for us mommas to spend hours in the kitchen every night just to keep everyone fed.
I know every single recipe may not become your family’s absolute favorite, but my hope is that this Trim Healthy Mama May menu plan gives you fresh ideas, less stress, and more confidence at dinnertime.
What’s New in This May THM Menu
This month I built in simple weekly theme nights to make planning and grocery shopping even easier:
-
Sunday: “Gather round the table” recipes (cozy, sit‑down family meals)
-
Monday: Crockpot recipes you can prep on Sunday
-
Tuesday: Mexican‑inspired meals for Taco Tuesday
-
Friday: Sheet pan dinners for easy cleanup
-
Saturday: Skillet recipes for quick, one‑pan meals
These themes help you know what to expect each week and make it simple to repeat favorites or swap similar recipes that fit the same style of meal.
Hawaiian Sheet Pan Dinner: Easy THM-Friendly Recipe
Pictured above is a super simple Hawaiian sheet pan dinner that fits beautifully into a Trim Healthy Mama–style dinner rotation. It’s one of my favorite “toss it on the pan and bake” meals for busy nights.
You can serve this Hawaiian‑inspired dinner a few different ways, depending on your family and fuel:
-
Over cauliflower rice or steamed veggies for a lighter, THM‑friendly option
-
With on‑plan rice or noodles for those who need (or want) more carbs
-
Alongside a big salad or simple side dish to stretch the meal
As always, adapt these Trim Healthy Mama recipes to your family’s tastes. Use more garlic or less garlic, add extra veggies, keep it mild or bump up the seasoning. Make the recipe work for you instead of feeling like you have to follow it perfectly.
Beginner-Friendly: Fuel Types Listed for Every Recipe
This Trim Healthy Mama May menu is designed to be beginner friendly. I list the fuel type for every single recipe so you know exactly what it is. This makes it easy for a brand‑new THM beginner to follow along without feeling overwhelmed, and it’s also helpful for seasoned mamas who want to keep their fuels balanced.
Every recipe is teen‑boy and hubby approved, which means you’re not cooking one meal for you and another meal for the rest of the family. One menu, one dinner, everyone fed.
Weekly Themes for Your May THM Menu
Here’s a quick overview of the weekly themes built into this Trim Healthy Mama May menu plan:
-
Every Sunday:
“Gather round the table” recipes, perfect for old‑fashioned sit‑around‑the‑table dinners. These are great for inviting family or friends over and enjoying a slow, intentional meal together. -
Every Monday:
Crockpot recipes you can prep on Sunday. These are ideal for busy Mondays when you need dinner ready with minimal effort. -
Every Tuesday:
Mexican‑inspired meals for Taco Tuesday. Think tacos, bowls, and Mexican‑style flavors that work with the THM way of eating and still feel fun. -
Every Friday:
Sheet pan dinners to finish your week with something easy and low‑mess. Toss everything on a pan, bake, and you’re done. -
Every Saturday / Skillet Night:
Quick skillet recipes that keep cleanup simple and help you stay on plan even when you’re tired or your day didn’t go as planned.
These themes give structure to your May dinner menu so you’re not starting from scratch every week.
THM Pasta, Noodles, and Ramen Options
For pasta night, we used Dreamfields pasta for a long time and now we are really loving Palmini noodles. My hubby and boys like them, and even my one picky eater who initially said he could taste the difference eats them just fine now.
Use whatever on‑plan pasta or noodle option you’re comfortable with:
-
Dreamfields pasta
-
Palmini noodles
-
Spaghetti squash (extra veggie bonus!)
I also included one of my E ramen recipes on this May menu. I buy on‑plan ramen from Costco, but if you don’t have a Costco, check your big grocery outlets—they may have an on‑plan option that works for you.
